La Folie, a luxury French boutique pâtisserie is scheduled to open at Kala Ghoda in Mumbai on January 24, 2014. Chef Sanjana  is spearheading the brand. La Folie specialises in sophisticated desserts made using French techniques, as well as bespoke cakes. On offer are some decorated desserts like colorful macarons, petite cookies, chocolate truffles, pastries, chocolate pralines as well as flaky buttery croissants and pain au chocolat, all of which are freshly prepared daily to fulfill your cravings. Guests can also expect exotic textured desserts such as Rouge Velour which, created with a twist using strawberry compote and mixed berries Philadelphia cream cheese Chantilly, or the classic French puff pastry dessert Mille Feuille served with seasonal fresh fruits and Tahitian vanilla mascarpone cream. Also La Folie serves single origin Venezuelan and Equador chocolate truffles and house blend French enrobed pralines. The La Folie boutique is elegantly decorated with minimalist and modern organic interiors in tones of black, white and grey and maintains a natural freshness highlighted from backdrop of slate stones on one wall and semi matted glass on the other. The products which are the real hero enhance the space. A 3D niche display that changes according to the festive seasons elaborates on the French essence that La Folie embraces. The boutique offers the concept of a tea salon and dessert tasting room with a seating capacity of eight to ten people.
