MS University syndicate approves proposal to appoint asst professors on contract

Maharaja Sayajirao University syndicate has approved the appointment of assistant professors on contractual basis for five years on full salary in various departments of faculty of commerce. The members accepted the recommendations of selection committee, whereby one post of assistant professor on regular government-approved position at department of business economics was filled. As per the recommendation, a total of 20 assistant professors on consolidated salary of Rs 40,000 per month shall be appointed at faculty of commerce to improve quality of teaching in the higher payment programmes and increase availability of qualified full-time teachers. "The appointment of such assistant professors on contractual basis is being done at the departments of accounting and financial management, economics, banking and insurance, business management and commerce, cooperative management and rural studies from the proceeds of higher payment fees as well as in the self-financed BBA programme," said Dr Amit Dholakia MSU Registrar, reported Times of India.
